Getting things done

I had inspirational conversation with my sister last night about nutrition and healthy dieting.

My sister recently underwent a lifestyle makeover where she went around from 130 lbs to a diminutive 113lbs. She wasn't by any means what one would call fat, even at 130 she was still under the athletic body-type catgeory. This inspired me. I don't have an unhealthy diet, infact, I'd say i have a very healthy diet except for Two major factors: No portion control and beer.

Now I too have decided to do something about this. My semi-longterm goal is to get down to 160 lbs and be at my peak racing fitness by the State Road Race championships on the weekend October 3rd.

Things I've begun to do to change this:
-Smaller portions
-Eat every 3-4 hours
-Eat raw when possible
-Cutting beer to only drinking it once a week IF necesary (and only 2 or 3 beers at most)
-drink alot more water

Also, I'm trying to set a better and more stable sleeping schedule.

P.S. My sister is now training to do a half marathon (but don't let it fool you, for her it's primarily about her physical aesthetics)
